Squire Boone Caverns have been preparing for your visit … for about a million years! The tour begins at the Cave Cabin. From there, a long stairway leads underground to the amazing caverns discovered in 1790 by brothers Squire and Daniel Boone. Paved, lighted paths and bridges wind their way over rushing underground streams and waterfalls, and past beautiful formations of all shapes and sizes, some estimated to be more than a million years old — and still growing!
The Geology and Forestry programs at Squire Boone Caverns are designed to assist Scouts in their understanding of geology and forestry, and complete all the required steps to acquire a badge. Trained instructors use a combination of lectures and hands-on projects to encourage the Scouts’ learning process.
